Belmont Textile Machinery Company hereby requests renewal of NPDES Permit
NCO023540 for our wastewater treatment plant.
Belmont Textile Machinery Company is a manufacturer of textile machinery for
the "textile yarn industry". Our company's processes to manufacture this
equipment are those of a typical machine shop. We process no "raw materials" in
this business.
The operation of the WWTP facility is still basically the same as it was when the
permit was last renewed with the same licensed operator.

Belmont Textile Machinery Co. operates a wastewater treatment plant at 1212 W.
Catawba Ave. Mount Holly NC 28120. The plant consists of a collection system, with four
manholes, bar screen, aeration basin with 2 aerators, weir tank, chlorine contact,
chlorine removal and 2 discharge pumps with pump cycle counter.
BOD is removed by biological treatment. TSS is removed by a clarifier. Nitrogen is
removed by stopping aeration at night when there is no flow. Denitrification occurs when
DO drops out. We do not remove the phosphorus.
Sludge is pumped out by Stanley Environmental Solutions. The sludge is taken to WWTP
Town of Newton, N.C.
