Per the NOV the May DMR showed that the Discharge of the Burnsville Waste Water Treatment Plant
(WWTP) exceeded the monthly average at .88.
Currently our .3 plant is still down and getting repaired, we are in the process of putting the new coating
on the steel and rebuilding the CL2 Contact Chamber. Once these two items are complete the contractor
will be able to put everything back into the .3 plant and get it back up and running putting us back online
for our .8mgp permit limit.
The exceeded amount is also due to high Infiltration and Inflow (I&I). We are working with High Country
to get a storm water study done along with smoke testing to start disconnecting storm water from our
sewer system to decrease the I&I. We are also working to get a CDBG-I grant in order to repair old clay
sewer lines that are taking on storm water as well.
Sincerely,
Dillon Lundy
