Dear Ms. Carpenter,
The City of Marion has reviewed the Division of Water Resources General Permit NCG590000
for greensand and conventional type water treatment plants and requests that the discharge from
the Marion WTP be covered under this new general permit. The City understands that the
Division will rescind the individual NPDES permit for the Marion WTP (NC0055221) when the
Certificate of Coverage for the General Permit NCG590000 is issued to the City.
