In response to yow February 4, 201© letter, I am submitting answers to yaw questions regarding
a 401 permit application. Please find the requested information below:
1. With the widening and relocation of NC Highway 19,1 am ndoc aft am exisbg home
and accessory building to a new location on the same property. Fuetixmore I plan to
improve the private drive connecting the property to NC Highway 19. Raisi ag the
driveway to the elevation of the new road requires fill and extending the existing
driveway culvert.
The drawing submitted with the" Illustrates a proposed level pad with the driveway
improvement. This pad will serve as a stagmWstoxage area for heavy equipment
associated with my truclaug and grading business. The improved driveway and level pad,
is designed to accommodate these hem lucks, trailers and equipment..
2. Improvements shown on the drawing will not include any new structures. 'DM driveway
wUl commue to be unpaved (gravel) and the proposed pad will be unpaved as well.
As for clarifying the questions in Fart D2 amid D3,1 amt uncertain boor, to respond other
than what is listed in the ". It is my understanding ww*bg the colvott may be
permitted without mitigation due to its lengtb. 1f mkigation, is required as pelt of thus
application, please let me know so I can pursae that isw- I hope the limited length of
stream impacts will avoid a requixamnt for mitigation.
3. While I had hoped to uUme earth spoil from the highway project, I have adequft
quantities of earth fill adjacent to the site to complew the driveway impmvemr wftout
NCDOT fill.
