As stated in our 5-day report, we received 5 inches of rain in a matter of 1 hour and 25 minutes. This extremely heavy rain caused the creek that runs beside of the pump station at 1411 North Avenue to overflow out of its banks and into the pump station. We did not have any kind of warning there would be such a bad storm that day, therefore there was nothing we could do to prepare to control the creek coming out of the banks. If you should have any questions following the receipt of my letter, please do not hesitate to call. Sincerely, Chris McCorquo le Director Public Works and Utilities Town of Siler City cc: Roy Lynch, Town Manager Joey Smith, Public Works Superintendent Chris McCorquodale Director Public Works and Utilities Pp Box 769 . 311 N.
