Andrea,
Thank you for the email. I'm training a new employee and I think some thinks got left in the PCN from a previous
application. I'm not sure about the text over text thing. Please allow me to look into what happened and
respond/resubmit to this group. In short, there will be about 90 linear feet of impact total. There are no wetlands on
the property. One new culvert with headwalls will be installed upstream of a rusted out culvert in a better (straighter
reach) location. The area where the old culvert is will be daylighted and restored. Tall Fescue and Bermudagrass will
not be used below top of bank or within 30 feet of the stream.
Thank you,
Joel Lenk, P.G.

Subject: Mair Driveway - questions
Hi there Joel -
I'm reviewing the Mair Driveway application and I have a few questions/comments on the application-
• Note that the pdf has text written over text, making certain fields illegible (this happened with your last
PCN, too, I believe)
• The impacts tables show 0.2 acre of wetland (is this a mistake?) and S1 as 20 ft of impact on a 149 ft
wide stream. The application notes 149' total impacts, but the description describes removal of a 20'
culvert, installation of a new 20' culvert plus headwalls (would there be additional impact for these?),
and 60' of impact for streambank stabilization. Can you clarify the impact numbers?
• The project description notes that you'll use native permanent seeding but Figure 1 notes the use of Tall
Fescue and Bermudagrass, both of which are highly invasive — these should not be used in the riparian
area. Can you clarify about seeding in the riparian area?
Thank you,
Andrea
