Hi Kevin
This shoreline was actually done by mistake already. Duke Energy has approved us doing a
normal application for the work that was already done so that we can leave the rock. The
picture is correct, we are just going through the process as requested by Duke.

Carissa,
On July 31, 2020, the Division of Water Resources (Division) received your application
dated July 27, 2020, requesting a 401 Water Quality Certification from the Division for the
subject project. The Division has determined that the application is incomplete and cannot
be processed. The application is on hold until the following information is received.
1. The shoreline application requires a photograph of the shoreline showing greater than
3 feet of erosion in order to approve the project. The photograph included in the
application shows an already completed rip rap shoreline. Please provide a photo of
the active erosion for the proposed Purbrick Lot and provide clarification regarding
the submitted photograph (rip rap). [15A NCAC 02H .0502(c)]
Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502 (c), the applicant shall furnish all of the above
requested information for the proper consideration of the application. If all of the requested
information is not received within 30 calendar days, of receipt of this email, the Division
will be unable to approve the application and it will be returned. The return of this project
will necessitate reapplication to the Division for approval, including a complete application
package and the appropriate fee.
