He is going to obtain these for our review. He also said that removing the entrance would create some substantial drainage revisions that would have to be changed again if the entrance was constructed later. We'll just have to see what the town can provide to justify the entrance and discuss this further. Thanks! The Town of Shallotte is planning for proposed future development in this area. The idea was that we would provide a curb cut with this project, so that it would not have to be removed later - but I understand you concerns. We will have to get more information from the Town. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov<mailto:report.spam@nc.gov> AW, Just wanted to follow up with an email regarding the topic discussed with you a little while ago. The purpose of this project according to the PCN was to realign Wall street with Shallotte Ave to improve traffic flow along Main Street. I noted that Heroes Way has also been incorporated into the project. The Corps has no concerns over the northern alignment of Heroes Way as it exists but does have concerns over the access Southwest for Heroes Way. The Corps needs to evaluate a project in its entirety and when you have an access into raw property it raises concerns over the single and complete nature of the project. 2 Is there any way this access point can be removed from this project as it is not the purpose of the Wall Street re alignment? Otherwise the Corps would want to know more about the future alignment of Heroes Way and possible jurisdictional impacts, if any. This project is the realignment of Wall St. at US 17 Business (Main St.) and Shallotte Ave. in Shallotte, Brunswick County. I do not have a definite let date yet as that is still being determined. However, I can let you know when I find out.
