Hey Jon,
I just reviewed the application. You make reference to the coffer dam/pump around details but I didn't see a plan sheet
with those details. In fact, there were no construction drawings. Can you send me those please. Thanks.

Thanks Brandee, We would be filling the riverbed outside of the existing intake footprint so I don't think a non -
notification NW3 would work. Possibly a non -notification NW12? It's looking like there will be about 40LF of permanent
river impacts and an additional 60LF of temporary impacts for flow diversion during construction. I'm planning on
submitting a PCN regardless to make sure we are covered.

Hi Jon, you are correct, that is not Section 10, 1 believe Section 10 doesn't start until it becomes the Pee Dee.
As far as NWP#7 or #12, I'll need to look at that further, but my inclination is either will work and NWP #12 may allow it
to fall below the notification threshold unless there is something I am missing from first glance. Is the NWP#12 non-
notification what you were shooting for? I believe we could also consider a #3 (if this is in the same site) and this too
might fall below notification thresholds (751-f).
What are the coordinates for the project?
I'll check and see if there is any reason we would need to keep it at a NWP#7
Cheers, Brandee

Subject: [Non-DoD Source] Wilkesboro WTP Upgrades
Hi Brandee, We are in the process of designing upgrades to the Town of Wilkesboro water treatment plant. Part of the
upgrades includes abandoning the existing raw water intake on the Yadkin River and replacing it with a new intake
screen which will be anchored to the river bed.
The installation will result in temporary river bank and bed impacts to trench in the intake and 24" pipe, and permanent
impact to the river bed for the screens. See attached plan sheet for reference.
Would we permit this under a NW7 or NW12? Also, I don't think this section of the Yadkin is a Section 10 water, but
wanted to confirm.
Thanks!
