This will provide stabilization of the ditch bank. It will control the width of the ditch bank. Purpose: To prevent erosion coming Into my Property line and prevent it before this becomes a major problem. This is a very small project but it needs to be attended to. 3f. Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used: Stabilizing two sections of the stream bank on my property, each section approximately 25 linear feet long or less on near the south property line and the other near the north property line. Each section would involve grading the slopes to stable slopes (-2:1 or flattery placing filter fabric and placing rip rap of sufficient size to prevent erosion. The stabilized sections should be tied into the adjacent natural sections or stitched In a way that prevents erosion along the edges of the rip rap. No tree cutting will be cut down. Tools used: Cutting trimmers to take out numerous invasive autumn olive (Elaeagnus umbellata) shrubs within the stream buffer. No Roots will be taken out The Poison will be removed. Bailey, David E CIV USARMY CESAW (USA) Jun 16, 2020, 4:94 PM {22 hours ago} to me, Stephanie Hello Ms. Jones, and thank you for meeting me this afternoon at your property at 114 White Deer Trail, in Garner, Wa County, North Carolina As we discussed, your proposed project fits the terms and conditions of Nationwide Permit 13 for bank stabilization (see attached) without requiring submittal of a permit application (i.e. Pre -Construction Notice). Specifically, as discussed on -site your project was described as: -'-,Stabilizing two sections of the stream bank on your property, each section approximately 25 linear feet Iong or less, on near the south property line and the other near the north property line. Each section would involve grading the slopes tc stable slope (-2:1 or flatter), placing filter fabric, and placing rip rap of sufficient size to prevent erosion. The stabilize sections should be tied into the adjacent natural sections or stream bank in a way that prevents erosion along the edges the rip rap. No tree cutting is proposed. The remainder of your stream bank appeared well vegetated and stable, with no visible need of stabilization actions. We also discussed proposed trimming of shrubs along the stream bank. Please discuss this proposal with Ms. Sephanis Goss of the NC Division of Water Resources to ensure that your proposal is in compliance with the State of NC Ripari; Buffer Rules. While on -site I did observe numerous invasive autumn olive (Elaeagnus umbellata) shrubs within the stream buffer, and you may want to mention that to Ms. Goss. If you have any questions, please let me know. -Dave Bailey David E.
