Site inspection was conducted by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office on August 5, 2020. NCDOT
inspectors James Hutchins and Justin Woody were present during the inspection. Sediment loss was self reported on
August 4, 2020.
Sediment loss was observed at ~ Stations L 23+50 LT, Y 479+00 RT (jurisdictional stream), and adjacent to I-40 East
Bound on ramp. Sediment in these areas need to be removed/stabilized. Erosion control measures require immediate
maintenance.
Project was suspended by NCDOT on August 5, 2020. A follow up inspection will be scheduled for the week of August
10 to ensure compliance.
