SCOPE OF WORK
THIS PROJECT WILL REPAIR VARIOUS LANDING ZONES AND GUN POSITIONS FROM EROSION AND TO PROMOTE DRAINAGE.
GP-1 DRAINAGE REPAIR / TLZ BLUEBIRD EROSION REPAIR / TLZ CRANE EROSION REPAIR / TLZ LARK DRAINAGE REPAIR / TLZ CONDOR EROSION REPAIR:
1. SURVEY AREA. DESIGN SITE PLAN TO PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE. USE EXISTING LANDSCAPE FEATURES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT POSSIBLE. MAXIMUM SLOPE IS 12%.
SWALES SHOULD HAVE A MAXIMUM 3:1 SLOPE ON THE SIDES TO ALLOW WHEELED VEHICLES TO TRANSVERSE THE SWALE.
2. SECURE NCDENR EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL PERMITS.
3. INSTALL EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROLS THAT INCLUDES SILT FENCES, CHECK DAMS AND DIVERSION DITCHES. REMOVE UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.
4. FILL, GRADE AND STABILIZE AREA TO ELIMINATE EROSION HAZARDS.
5. OBTAIN ALL OF THE FILL NEEDED TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT FROM ON SITE GRADING ACTIVITIES, MATERIAL STOCKPILE AT TLZ CONDOR OR OP-5.
6. ALL AREAS WITHIN THE PROJECT BOUNDARY INDICATED TO BE REVEGETATED SHALL BE PREPARED, SEEDED AND STABILIZED WITH THE PROJECT VEGETATION PLAN.
GP-37 GRUB AND GRADE:
1. GRUB DESIGNATED AREA TO REMOVE STUMPS, BUSHES AND OTHER VEGETATION REMAINING. TREES HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN HARVESTED FROM DESIGNATED AREA.

GENERAL NOTES
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES PRIOR TO GROUND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL MEASUREMENTS. THE MEASUREMENT AND QUANTITIES FURNISHED HERE ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY. THE CONTRACTOR IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTUAL FIELD VERIFICATION PRIOR TO BIDDING, ORDERING MATERIALS AND DURING EVERY STEP OF CONSTRUCTION FOR EXISTING SURFACES, DIMENSIONS
AND CONDITIONS.
3. PRESERVE AND PROTECT ALL EXISTING UTILITIES. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO UTILITIES. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED UTILITIES SHALL
BE INSPECTED BY THE OWNER OF THE REPAIRED UTILITY BEFORE COVERING UP WORK WITH DIRT OF OTHER MATERIAL.
4. CONTRACTOR MUST MINIMIZE SEDIMENT MIGRATION DOWNSTREAM TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PRACTICAL.
5. REFERENCE MANUFACTURE'S TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF THE
INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (IBC).
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WITH ROICC. NOTIFY THE ROICC IMMEDIATELY OF HIDDEN DAMAGE OR POTENTIAL REPAIR REQUIREMENTS
THAT ARE NOT SPECIFIED WITHIN THIS SCOPE AND DISCOVERED DURING THE COURSE OF WORK.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL (INCLUDING PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC) NECESSARY TO SAFELY CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. ALL
TRAFFIC CONTROL SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MUTCD. THE ROADS AND DRIVEWAYS ADJACENT TO THE RIGHT OF WAY WILL REMAIN OPEN. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
CONDUCT OPERATIONS SO AS TO CAUSE THE LEAST POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE WITH NORMAL OPERATIONS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT POSSIBLE. CONTRACTOR SHALL
COORDINATE TRAFFIC CONTROL WITH BASE PMO AT 415-8381.
8. JOBSITE SHALL BE KEPT CLEAR OF ALL DEBRIS AND TRASH. PROPERLY REMOVE, HAUL AND DISPOSE OF ALL DEBRIS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT UTILIZE THE DUMPSTER
PROVIDED BY CAMP LEJEUNE FOR THE OCCUPANTS OF THE BUILDING.
9. THE CAMP LEJEUNE LANDFILL MAY NOT BE UTILIZED FOR THE DISPOSAL OF BUILDING MATERIAL.
10. CONTRACTOR, THRU THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER, SHALL CONTACT RANGE MAINTENANCE BRANCH (451-1234) IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING AWARD OF CONTRACT WITH
PLANNED WORK SCHEDULE IN ORDER FOR THE TRAINING AREA / RANGE TO BE SCHEDULED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO INFORM RANGE MAINTENANCE BRANCH IMMEDIATELY
DURING CONSTRUCTION OF ANY WORK SCHEDULE CHANGES.
11. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT RANGE CONTROL (451-3064) DAILY UPON ENTERING AND LEAVING THE WORK SITE.
12. FILL AT OP-5 MAY CONTAIN CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS AND MAY REQUIRE SCREENING PRIOR TO USE.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
1. NO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AT THE SITE. IF CONTAMINATED SOIL IS SUSPECTED THROUGH VISUAL OBSERVATION OR ODORS, IMMEDIATELY STOP
WORK, CALL 911 AND EMD AT 451-9017.
SPECIAL SEEDING NOTE:
CUT AND FILL SLOPES 3:1 OR FLATTER WILL, WITHIN 7 CALENDAR DAYS OF
COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF GRADING, BE PLANTED AND PROVIDED WITH
TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT GROUND COVER, DEVICES OR STRUCTURES
SUFFICIENT TO RESTRAIN EROSION. ADDITIONALLY, WITHIN 7 DAYS, SLOPES
STEEPER THAN 3:1 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT GROUND
COVER AND SHALL BE PLANTED.

CONTRACTOR WILL WET DOWN THE AREAS TO ASSIST IN SEED
GERMINATION OR AID IN GROWTH IN TIMES OF EXCESSIVELY DRY
WEATHER. A STAND OF GRASS WILL BE CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE
WHEN THE ENTIRE STAND OF GRASS IS AT LEAST FOUR INCHES
HIGH AND HAS ACHIEVED AT LEAST 95% COVERAGE OF DISTURBED
AREAS. RESEEDING WILL BE REQUIRED AS NECESSARY BY THE

SCOPE OF WORK
THIS PROJECT WILL REPAIR VARIOUS LANDING ZONES AND GUN POSITIONS FROM EROSION AND TO PROMOTE DRAINAGE.
THE FOLLOWING IS BID OPTION 1:
ALZ-28 DRAINAGE REPAIR / GP-26 DRAINAGE REPAIR / TLZ EGRET DRAINAGE REPAIR / GP-2 DRAINAGE REPAIR / GP-23 DRAINAGE REPAIR:
1. SURVEY AREA. DESIGN SITE PLAN TO PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE. USE EXISTING LANDSCAPE FEATURES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT POSSIBLE. MAXIMUM SLOPE IS 12%.
SWALES SHOULD HAVE A MAXIMUM 3:1 SLOPE ON THE SIDES TO ALLOW WHEELED VEHICLES TO TRANSVERSE THE SWALE.
2. SECURE NCDENR EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL PERMITS.
3. INSTALL EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROLS THAT INCLUDES SILT FENCES, CHECK DAMS AND DIVERSION DITCHES. REMOVE UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.
4. FILL, GRADE AND STABILIZE AREA TO ELIMINATE EROSION HAZARDS.
5. OBTAIN ALL OF THE FILL NEEDED TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT FROM ON SITE GRADING ACTIVITIES, MATERIAL STOCKPILE AT TLZ CONDOR OR OP-5.
6. ALL AREAS WITHIN THE PROJECT BOUNDARY INDICATED TO BE REVEGETATED SHALL BE PREPARED, SEEDED AND STABILIZED WITH THE PROJECT VEGETATION PLAN.
THE FOLLOWING IS BID OPTION 2:

GENERAL NOTES
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES PRIOR TO GROUND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL MEASUREMENTS. THE MEASUREMENT AND QUANTITIES FURNISHED HERE ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY. THE CONTRACTOR IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTUAL FIELD VERIFICATION PRIOR TO BIDDING, ORDERING MATERIALS AND DURING EVERY STEP OF CONSTRUCTION FOR EXISTING SURFACES, DIMENSIONS
AND CONDITIONS.
3. PRESERVE AND PROTECT ALL EXISTING UTILITIES. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO UTILITIES. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED UTILITIES SHALL
BE INSPECTED BY THE OWNER OF THE REPAIRED UTILITY BEFORE COVERING UP WORK WITH DIRT OF OTHER MATERIAL.
4. CONTRACTOR MUST MINIMIZE SEDIMENT MIGRATION DOWNSTREAM TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PRACTICAL.
5. REFERENCE MANUFACTURE'S TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF THE
INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (IBC).
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WITH ROICC. NOTIFY THE ROICC IMMEDIATELY OF HIDDEN DAMAGE OR POTENTIAL REPAIR REQUIREMENTS
THAT ARE NOT SPECIFIED WITHIN THIS SCOPE AND DISCOVERED DURING THE COURSE OF WORK.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL (INCLUDING PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC) NECESSARY TO SAFELY CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. ALL
TRAFFIC CONTROL SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MUTCD. THE ROADS AND DRIVEWAYS ADJACENT TO THE RIGHT OF WAY WILL REMAIN OPEN. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
CONDUCT OPERATIONS SO AS TO CAUSE THE LEAST POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE WITH NORMAL OPERATIONS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT POSSIBLE. CONTRACTOR SHALL
COORDINATE TRAFFIC CONTROL WITH BASE PMO AT 415-8381.
8. JOBSITE SHALL BE KEPT CLEAR OF ALL DEBRIS AND TRASH. PROPERLY REMOVE, HAUL AND DISPOSE OF ALL DEBRIS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT UTILIZE THE DUMPSTER
PROVIDED BY CAMP LEJEUNE FOR THE OCCUPANTS OF THE BUILDING.
9. THE CAMP LEJEUNE LANDFILL MAY NOT BE UTILIZED FOR THE DISPOSAL OF BUILDING MATERIAL.
10. CONTRACTOR, THRU THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER, SHALL CONTACT RANGE MAINTENANCE BRANCH (451-1234) IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING AWARD OF CONTRACT WITH
PLANNED WORK SCHEDULE IN ORDER FOR THE TRAINING AREA / RANGE TO BE SCHEDULED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO INFORM RANGE MAINTENANCE BRANCH IMMEDIATELY
DURING CONSTRUCTION OF ANY WORK SCHEDULE CHANGES.
11. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT RANGE CONTROL (451-3064) DAILY UPON ENTERING AND LEAVING THE WORK SITE.
12. FILL AT OP-5 MAY CONTAIN CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS AND MAY REQUIRE SCREENING PRIOR TO USE.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
1. NO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AT THE SITE. IF CONTAMINATED SOIL IS SUSPECTED THROUGH VISUAL OBSERVATION OR ODORS, IMMEDIATELY STOP
WORK, CALL 911 AND EMD AT 451-9017.
SPECIAL SEEDING NOTE:
CUT AND FILL SLOPES 3:1 OR FLATTER WILL, WITHIN 7 CALENDAR DAYS OF
COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF GRADING, BE PLANTED AND PROVIDED WITH
TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT GROUND COVER, DEVICES OR STRUCTURES
SUFFICIENT TO RESTRAIN EROSION. ADDITIONALLY, WITHIN 7 DAYS, SLOPES
STEEPER THAN 3:1 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT GROUND
COVER AND SHALL BE PLANTED.

STRAW MULCH SHALL BE APPLIED AT A RATE WHICH WILL INSURE

STRAW AND SOWN SEED WILL BE LIGHTLY DISCED INTO THE BED
TO GIVE IT FURTHER RESISTANCE TO BLOWING AND WASHING.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE A FULL STAND OF GRASS
OVER THE ENTIRE DISTURBED AREA. IF NECESSARY TO
CONTRACTOR WILL WET DOWN THE AREAS TO ASSIST IN SEED
GERMINATION OR AID IN GROWTH IN TIMES OF EXCESSIVELY DRY
WEATHER. A STAND OF GRASS WILL BE CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE
WHEN THE ENTIRE STAND OF GRASS IS AT LEAST FOUR INCHES
HIGH AND HAS ACHIEVED AT LEAST 95% COVERAGE OF DISTURBED
AREAS. RESEEDING WILL BE REQUIRED AS NECESSARY BY THE
CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN THE SPECIFIED STAND OF GRASS
