This cover letter is per the Renewal Application Checklist requesting renewal for permit # NC0040355.
Since the modification to NPDES Permit #NC0040355 dated August 14, 2018 nothing has changed at the
sewer treatment plant other than the new operator. Hiram Tuft started operating the treatment plant in
the fall od 2019.
Per the Renewal Application Checklist narrative description of the sludge management plan for the
facility; The sludge generated during the wastewater treatment is handled in this manner: once per year
we contact Larry Sorrells Tank Pumping and he removes all the sludge (2,000) and is disposed at the
Town of Waynesville wastewater treatment plant.
