The pumps are rated at +1-1098 GPM at 116' TDH. This condition is reflects all 3 LS sharing the 20" FM having (1) pump in operation. The State has confirmed this scenario as the proper rating for the LS. Based upon run times shared by Water Mgmt for the Stagecoach LS; the 751 Primary LS will also operate independently of the other lift stations based upon observed cycle times. Under the rated condition, all forcemains achieve a minimum of 2 FPS and 751 Primary has 6 cycles per hour. When 751 Primary LS is operating independent of other LS (Scenario 1 A); the 20" shared FM has a velocity of 1.7 FPS. This portion of the FM also receives over 6 hours of contributing flow from the Stagecoach LS at velocities in excess of 3 FPS. This design is based upon the City of Durham 2014 LS Design Standards with exception to the allowance of submersible pumps (agreed upon with the City). All calculations are consistent with the MDC for Permitting of Pump Stations and FM 03108 The LS discharges into an existing 12" FM permitted by others WQ 0039295. The 12" FM then connects to the existing 20" Stagecoach LS FM at the intersection of NC 751 and Stagecoach Road. From there the wastewater is conveyed directly to the South Durham WRF. This permit is a zero -flow permit. City of Durham assigns wastewater flow with the gravity sewer extension permits rather than with the LS permit. This LS is sized to accommodate 385,000 GPD of domestic wastewater as outline on Page 2 of 5 in the FTA application (attached). k •fit, -{ - ! ire- •✓,Hl it wrmt+ar ro ' 1 '1 / •} auPao tRta rndr Lutno f IAW wtw w a.rwarax pl SP' lands- ouct+s+wrn+ 11, 1,11r zi lrl PRIM A—R-Y LS r f b rvrc nP 30 NO lb "4tf IM 4 O 2000' 4000' GREEN LEVEL, NC 2016 SCALE: 1 " = 2000' NORTH RtFl. Just a couple of clarifications are needed before we draft the permit. Item VI.7 of the application notes a flow of 385,100 gpd, but the narrative states this permit is a zero flow permit. It appears the 385,100 gpd is existing flow, and there will be no new flow in this permit. Please confirm. Item VIIIA of the application notes the pump capacity is 1098 gpm. The narrative notes the pumps are rated at 1188 gpm. Please confirm the pump capacity. We'll start drafting the permit upon submittal and review of the above.
