User Defined BMP Maintenance Requirements
Section 1
Important operation and maintenance procedures:
The entire vegetated area within the Solar Power Plant will be carefully managed to reduce the sediment load
leaving the site.
After the first-time fertilization to establish the permanent ground cover on the vegetated areas of the Solar
Power Plant, Minimize use of Herbicides and Fertilizers per NCDEQ Stormwater Design Manual E-6
Avoid Compaction of Subsoil per NCDEQ Stormwater Design Manual E-6 Recommendation 1
Avoid Concentration of Stormwater per NCDEQ Stormwater Design Manual E-6 Recommendation 3
The system will be visually inspected by the owner/operator at leastquarterly. Records of operation and maintenance will be kept
in a known set location and will be available upon request.

Inspection activities shall be performed as follows. Any problems that are found shall be repaired immediately.
