Dear Mr. Fletcher:
On February 3, 2010, the Express Review Program of the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received
your additional information for the above referenced project. The DWQ has determined that your
application will require additional information. Please provide the following information so that we
may continue to review your project and prevent return of your application as required by 15A NCAC
2H.0506:
Additional Information Requested
1. Please extend the clay liner to the temporary pool elevation or raise the permanent pool elevation to
868 ft or higher. The clay liner must be shown in the cross sections of both ponds.
2. Please submit a notarized Operation and Maintenance Agreement for the level spreader.
3. Please ensure that the outlet pipe from wet pond 1 discharges at an angle (>135° preferred) to the
level spreader channel, and not nearly perpendicular as shown.
4. Please correct the contour labeling of the weir between the larger forebay and the main pond for wet
pond 1.
Please respond within five (5) days of the date of this letter by sending two (2) copies of the above
information and any revisions in writing. The Express Review Program is a process that requires all
parties to participate in a timely manner.
This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or
protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at
this time) by the DWQ.
