RE: Comment on General Permit Number NCG500000
Dear Sir:
I wish to comment on the renewal of the above permit for the Southern Power Plant, of
Rowan County,NPDES permit number NCG500000 and NCG500582,that expires on
July 31, 2020. We own the rural property directly opposite their discharge outlet and we
do not want any of their waste to touch our property. Under Section B. of the permit
(General Conditions) it plainly states under"Property Rights"that they do not have any
exclusive privileges or the arbitrary right to injure our private property.
Also, under this section it states that the permittee must comply with all the conditions
that are stated in the permit. I take this to mean they cannot pick and choose what they
will do and not do. If your interpretation is different,please let me know.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, I understand that things are not the way they were.
Under these uncertain conditions, I will file this comment before these permits are
renewed to protect my rights.
