The good news is that there has been no significant movement this week. The survey team completed the underwater scanning of the river bottom and a map plus cross-sections should be available some time today or tomorrow. We have a meeting on-site this afternoon to discuss all of the analysis to determine the course of action. The meeting will be attended by a couple of bridge contractors to gauge constructability issues. What goes on with the bridge is still predicated on the placement of the Class 7 stone to prevent the plate sliding. We are reviewing the project with a contractor to start the process as soon as possible to ensure that there is not a catastrophic failure of the bridge. Concern is now for both bridges being that the southbound bridge is even older with no idea of it’s subsurface condition. Hopefully I can provide more information after this meeting today. James J.
