Only one of the fields displayed evidence of limited ponding. None of the fields displayed any slope greater than 10%. Overall the fields are isolated and access is limited to the public. The greatest distance to the application field from the WWTP source is 23 miles. Some of these fields are being added to the permit as a back-up source since some of the property owners will be using chicken litter as a primary fertilizer and the sludge will be applied as a secondary fertilizer as required. This is a major modification to the existing permit. The fields being added to the permit have never received residuals in the past. Therefore, the field needed to be reviewed beofre allowing a land application event to occur. All properties have their own private Water Supply Wells to service the homes and livestock of the farms. Monitor wells are not required as part of this permit. Field IR-36-1, had some low spots where pondinq was present due to recent rains. Otherwise the fields were displaying good drainage across the site. The MRO will wish to be present at the initial application to ensure that no unforeseen issues arise. The buffers aDDear to be adeauate and are in line with the 2T buffers reauired. Page 4 of 4
