If this does get approved, we would appreciate a heads up. The station can advertise it on their facebook page as well. v/r, LT Akers From: Pitts, Hal R CIV <Hal.R.Pitts@uscg.mil> Sent: Wednesday, June 3, 2020 4:40 PM To: D05-SMB-SecNC-Marine <D05-SMB-SecNC-MarineEvents@uscg.mil>; Creelman, Matthew K CIV <Matthew.K.Creelman 2@uscg.mil> Cc: Akers, Brittany S LT <Brittany.S.Akers@uscg.mil>; Tyson, Matthew I MST1 <Matthew.I.Tyson@uscg.mil>; pcwilliams2@ncdot.gov Subject: FW: B-2500 Bonner Bridge Project - Additional Temporary Breasting Line Importance: High D5 (dpw) — PATON/Sector WWM, 1. This would be for the Crofton 4600 crane/barge that must remain on the east side of the new bridge. The Crofton has been tied up to the remnant bridge/fishing pier, but that access will not be available if shoaling in the area continues as anticipated. Before we submit requests for permit modifications, I wanted to get your comments on this new temp. breasting line alignment. The line is close to the centerline of the current navigation channel. The Crofton is 72' wide, so placing it on the north side of the breasting line would place it 226' from the centerline of the channel at most. Emily, Would this proximity to the marked channel be an issue with Section 408? Thanks for looking at this, and feel free to call me if you would like to discuss. Paul C.
