4—BEGIN ROUGH GRADING PARKING LOT AND DRIVEWAY.
5—FOLLOWING CONSTRUCTION OF PARKING LOT, UNDERCUT STORMWATER TREATMENT FOR
MEDIA PLACEMENT. PLACE MEDIA AND INSPECT FOR PERMIT CONFORMANCE.
6—INSTALL STONE ON PARKING LOT TO FINAL GRADE.
7—UPON SITE STABILIZATION, INSTALL SOD. LANDSCAPING. REMOVE TEMPORARY DEVICES
AND PROVIDE INSPECTION FOR PERMIT CONFORMANCE.
CONSTRUCTION
1. Construct the silt fence of standard strength or extra
strength synthetic filter fabrics.
2. Construct the filter fabric from a continuous roll cut
to the length of the barrier to avoid joints. When joints
are necessary, securely fasten the filter cloth only at a
support post with overlap to the next post.
3. Support standard strength filter fabric by wire mesh
fastened securely to the upslope side of the posts using
heavy duty wire staples at least 1 inch long, or tie wires.
Extend the wire mesh support to the bottom of the trench.
4. When a wire mesh support fence is used, space posts
a maximum of 8 foot apart. Support posts should be driven
securely into the ground to a minimum of 2 foot
5. Extra strength filter fabric with 6 foot post
spacingdoes not require wire mesh support fence. Staple
fence or wire the filter fabric directly to posts.
OPERATION
Inspect silt fences at least once a week and after each
rainfall. Make any required repairs immediately. Should the
fabric of a sediment fence collapse, tear, decompose or
become ineffective, replace it promptly. Remove sediment
deposits as necessary to provide adequate storage volume
for the next rain and to reduce pressure on the fence. Take
care to avoid undermining the fence during cleanout.
REMOVAL
When contributing drainage areas have been properly
stabilized, grade and stabilize the area disturbed by silt
fence removal and cleanup.

PROVIDE A GROUNDCOVER ON EXPOSED SLOPES WITHIN 15 WORKING DAYS OR 30 CALENDAR
DAYS (WHICHEVER IS SHORTER), FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF GRADING, AND, A
PERMANEMT GROUNDCOVER FOR ALL DISTURBED AREAS WITHIN 15 WORKING DAYS OR 90
CALENDAR DAYS (WHICHEVER IS SHORTER) FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION OR
DEVELOPMENT,
