The following items are included with this package: Stormwater Calculations; and ■ Two sets of signed and scaled stormwater plans. The folioNving are the responses to review comments based on a letter dated September 11, 2012: ✓COMMI'NT 1: An offline bypass and properly designed vegetated filter strip (VFS) are not provided for the infiltration basins, but are required. Tlie VPS and bypass requirements for infiltration devices may both be waived by increasing the size of the infiltration device by 2.5 or by infiltrating the 10-year, 24-hour storm event. Please see 16.3.9 in the BMI' Manual for specific siring requirements. RESPONSE 1: Per the revised stornnwrater calculatinns, the IO-year, 24-hour storm event can he infiltrated without discharging the .lstem using the infiltration rate of one-half of the infiltration rate reported in the souls relJort. Therefore, we tare not including a hjpaSs of vegetated.falterstrall. iC0MM13NT 2: Some form of pretreatment must be provided for all infiltration devices. RESPONSE 2: A .jorehay was added in the infiltration basin to provide pretreatment. .1 COMM LINT 3: Please show on the plans all drop inlet and stormwater pipe invert rim elevations. At the completion of this project, there will not he any Water supp[v wells located o►r-site. There are no Water sapplt, Hells on the adjacent property to the West. The property lines to the north and east are greater than 100.feet front the i►rfrltratiolr basin. Discharge from storms greater than the 10 year will flow from the infiltration basin to lire existing NCDOT roadway swale and ultimately lie to an existing cross drain ruttier Murphy Road. Therefore, there are no structures in the i►mnediale ricinily. COMMIEN"I- 5: The drainage area sire is not consistently show+m on SV1 U-I{ll supplement form, and calculations. It appears that this flow could easily overflow/bypass the swalc, and not make it into the infiltration basin. Also, the Swale appears to continue through and past DI-1, making it likely not all the flow would stake it into the basin. Some type of berm or similar may be needed to DI-i to capture the roof drain flow. All proposed impervious areas must be directed to the infiltration basin for treatment. RESPONSE b: The ditch at the rear of lire huilding has been eliminated. A nen, ditch has been added along the svest side of the building to pick up roof drains and the rear truck well. This ditch tics to the asphalt parking lot and travels to the basin forebeq We Icft rr srvale (berm) along the eastern purliu►r of the properly to keep runoff from flo►ving onto the adjacent properly owner.
