3. DURING CONSTRUCTION, PROTECT STORM SEWER INLETS WITH INLET PROTECTION DEVICES,
SEDIMENT DEVICES, AND/OR OTHER APPROVED MEASURES. MAINTAIN DEVICES AS NEEDED.
4. AFTER COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF GRADING, ESTABLISH GROUNDCOVER ON GRADED
SLOPES AND FILLS WITHIN 15 CALENDAR DAYS.
5. STABILIZE SITE AS AREAS ARE BROUGHT UP TO FINISHED GRADE WITH VEGETATION OR PAVING.
6. CLEAN AND REMOVE SEDIMENT FROM POND AS NECESSARY DURING CONSTRUCTION.
7. WHEN CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE, REMOVE TEMPORARY DIVERSIONS, SILT FENCING,
SEDIMENT BASINS, ETC. AND PROVIDE ADEQUATE COVER OR PAVE ANY RESULTING BARE Alai AS.
8. COMPLETE CONVERSION TO PERMANENT WET DETENTION POND. CLEAN OUT ALL SEDIMENT, AND

OVERALL STORM DRAINAGE
AND GRADING PLAN
PROJECT NOTES
1. ALL LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT NASH COUNTY AND THE TOWN OF BAILEY
STANDARDS.
2. ALL TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN PROPER WORKING CONDITION DURING THE PERIOD OF
CONSTRUCTION.
GRADING NOTES:
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TOTALLY FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND THE SITE AS WELL AS EXISTING CONDITIONS
AND THE DIFFICULTIES LIKELY TO BE ENCOUNTERED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO CONFINE DISTURBED AREAS TO A MINIMUM. ALL TREES AND OTHER VEGETATION SHALL
REMAIN UNLESS SHOWN OTHERWISE ON THE PLANS OR THEIR REMOVAL IS AUTHORIZED BY THE OWNER. ALL AREAS DISTURBED BY THE
CONTRACTOR DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE SEEDED PER THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ADEQUATELY PROTECT ALL TREES, PLANTS AND REFERENCE POINTS AS INDICATED ON THE PLANS AND AS DIRECTED BY
THE OWNER. TREE PROTECTION SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE OWNER OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVE AND SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.
4. TO MINIMIZE DAMAGE TO EXISTING TREES NEAR THE INTERIOR EDGE OF BUFFERS AND STREETSCAPES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CUT MINIMUM 2
FOOT TRENCHES ALONG THE LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE, SO AS TO CUT, RATHER THAN TEAR ROOTS.
5. IF DISCREPANCIES DEVELOP BETWEEN THE PROPOSED GRADES AS SHOWN ON THE PLAN AND THE EXISTING GROUND SURFACE, THE
CONTRACTOR, WITH PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE OWNER, SHALL MAKE NECESSARY GRADING ADJUSTMENTS TO MAINTAIN THE GENERAL DESIGN
INTENT OF THE PLAN.
6. MODIFICATION OF GRADES: THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY GRADES SHOWN ON THE PLANS IN AREAS WHERE
MOUNDING HAS BEEN INCLUDED (I.E. BETWEEN BALL FIELDS & AT PROJECT ENTRANCES). CONTRACTOR IS TO EXPECT THESE FIELD CHANGES
WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION.
7. ALL CONSTRUCTION STAKING SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
