Bill,
I reviewed the stormwater permit and it is valid till May 17, 2021. 1 also spoke with Aana to confirm that Goodwill will
construct this facility at some point but not in the near future. Goodwill does not have to do anything at this point from
stormwater stand point and we will just coordinate with Aana when Goodwill plans on starting construction of this facility.

I recently conducted a stormwater management permit inspection for the Goodwill site at 5151 Robinhood Road and
noted that it had not yet been built. Does Goodwill of Northwest NC have plans to move forward with construction on
that site in the future? If not, you may wish to consider rescinding the stormwater management permit (#SW4110401).

The Division of Water Quality Central Office received a Stormwater Management Permit Application for
the subject project on April 13, 2011. A preliminary review of that information has determined that the
application is not complete. The following information is needed to continue the stormwater review:
1. On the SW-101 application form, please include all the proposed impervious area in the table
in item 10. This value should match the total impervious area itemized from the bottom.
2. Provide seal, signed and dated calculations. The values were provided for the calculations,
however, please show the calculations.
3. There is a discrepancy between the plans and the supplement form for the depth of the soil
media. The supplement form indicates 3 ft while the plans specify 2 ft. Please clarify. Also,
both "Is this a grassed cell" and "Is this a cell with trees/shrubs" are checked `Yes' on the
supplement. Please specify only one. If this is a grassed cell the soil media on needs to be 2
ft. However, if cell is vegetated it must be aft. Also, if the cell is grassed trees and shrubs
are not necessary.
4. The details on the plans indicate a mulch layer but the cell looks to be grassed. This detail is
not needed if the cell is grassed.
5. The landscape plan shows plants in the forebay where riprap is indicated on other plan sheets.
Please revise the plansheets to be consistent.
6. Please delineated wetlands onsite or include a note that none exist.
7. If you would like for the consultant to receive a copy of future correspondence, please
complete the Agent Authorization section of the application form on page 4 with their
information.
Please note that this request for additional information is in response to a preliminary review. The
requested information should be received by this Office prior to May 6, 2011, or the application will be
returned as incomplete. The return of a project will necessitate resubmittal of all required items, including
the application fee.
