AML Comments

For each proposed wet detention ponds, please provide a Required Items
Checklist with ALL of the required items, including:
a. Plan details for the ponds at a 1" = 30' scale or larger.
b. A table of pond elevations with incremental and accumulated volumes.
c. A copy of an in-field soils report that documents the elevation of the
SHWT at each pond.
d. A scaled planting plan for the vegetated shelf
e. The supporting calculations and storm routings.
f. Proposed boundaries of the stormwater easements around the ponds.
g. A signed and notarized Operation and Maintenance Agreement.
2. Per the BMP Manual, the wet detention ponds must discharge to a level spreader
and a minimum 30-foot long vegetative filter strip..
3. Please show the vegetated shelf more clearly on the pond profile view.
4. None of the wet detention ponds have an adequate average depth of three feet or
greater. The distance between the bottom of the pond elevation and the
permanent pool elevation must be greater than three feet in order to achieve this
design requirement.
