The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Ocean Bay Villas &
Ocean Glen Condos WWTP on 6/19/2020. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is
operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Non -discharge Permit No.
WQ0003067. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed
copy of the inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report". There were no significant issues or
findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this inspection report is not required.

Inspection Summary:
A routine inspection of the Ocean Bay Villas and Ocean Glen Condos WWTF was conducted on June 19, 2020. The two
influent pump stations were also inspected due to a complaint received by the Wilmington Regional Office of a small,
nonreportable spill at the Ocean Glen Condos pump station on 6/8/2020. Dan Fortin, ORC, and staff were present during the
inspection.
The Ocean Glen Condos pump station had lost the power feed from across the road where WWTF is located and controls
both pump stations serving the condo units in addition to WWTF. The electrical panal and both pumps at this pump station
have been replaced. A new pump and electrical panal was installed at the Ocean Bay Villas pump station in March 2019.
Visual and audible alarms were functional at both stations. A reminder to document the daily inspections of the pump
stations along with the weekly full inspections performed.
It was determined by Powerhouse gererator services that the facility's permanent generator can not be repaired. There was
discussion with Mr. Fortin on plans to help Permittee purchase a new generator. A portable gererator is currently located on
the site.
The infiltration fields were well maintained, with no ponding, runoff or vegetative growth. Currently, there is only one pump in
the dosing tank. Mr. Fortin stated that a new pump and electrical panal will be installed soon.
A review of the facility files since last inspection shows no monitoring report violations issued. There has been Total
Dissolved Solid exceedances in MW #1 and #4 in 2019.
The facility is compliant with the non -discharge permit WQ0003067. Please review the comment sections in the inspection
report for further details.

side of Hwy 24 at the Ocean Glen Condos. The other pump station is located on the bayside

pumps from the Ocean Bay Villas. A complaint was made to WIRO in regards to a small spill at
the Ocean Glen Condos pump station on 6/8/2020. Power to the
pump station has been fixed
and a new electrical panel installed alona with 2 new Dumas.

Comment: Some solids and growth were seen in the contact chamber. Since this inspection, Barnes
Environmental pumped out the chambers and pictures were taken of the work performed and of
the cleaned chamber.
