This submittal is in response to the Request for More Information dated January 22,
2010. In the letter, additional information regarding the site plan and typical
sections was requested.
Attached are two exhibits addressing the request for additional information. The
attached site plan enumerates and shades all riparian buffer impacts and labels
them individually. It also clearly locates each protected riparian buffer.
In addition, a typical section of the greenway trail and bridge have been attached.
This includes the built surfaces, dimensions, and addresses the maintenance and
vegetation. Please note that the adjacent vegetation is maintained lawn beside
Regency Parkway to the west and forest to the east. The side slopes of the
greenway trail will be seeded during construction and maintained.
REGULATORY APPROVALS SOUGHT
DWQ Buffer Authorization: Every effort has been made to minimize buffer impacts
at the stream crossings. However there are impacts to Neuse River Buffers:
• Zone 1 - 361 sf (.008 acre)
• Zone 2 - 1129 sf (.025 acre)

REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Kuhn:
On January 20, 2010, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated January 19, 2010,
to fill or otherwise impact 361 square feet of Zone 1 Neuse River basin protected riparian buffer, and 1,129
square feet of Zone 2 Neuse River basin protected riparian buffer, to construct the proposed pedestrian bridge
and greenway trail connection at the site. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete
and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in
order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property.
Therefore, unless we receive five copies of the additional information requested below, we will place this
project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. If we do not receive the requested
information, your project will be formally returned as incomplete. Please provide the following information so
that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please enumerate all riparian buffer impacts on the site plan and clearly label impacts (Buffer Impact 1,
etc.). Additionally, please shade the impact areas.
2. Please locate all of the protected riparian buffers as overlays on the site plan, clearly showing Zone 1
and Zone 2.
3. Please include a typical cross-section of the permanent greenway trail, including pavement width,
shoulders, and adjacent vegetation (specify natural or maintained).
Please submit this information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. If we do not receive this
requested information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter, your project will be withdrawn and you
will need to reapply with a new application and a new fee.
