Industrial Waste Survey
Dear Mr. Hassan,
The Town of Fairmont conducted an Industrial Waste Survey (IWS) as required by our
NPDES Permit. In completing the survey, the Town researched the a listing of the largest non-
residential water users, a listing of the Chamber of Commerce, the 2019 Manufacturing Index
for the Town and the Town's general knowledge of the business base. In addition, the Town of
Fairmont informed the Town that all of their business have gone out of business due to the
damage from hurricane Florence in 2018.
Our findings are summarized on the Industrial Waste Survey Summary form. As a
result of the survey, the Town has not found any additional Significant Industrial Users. I have
instructed the Water & Sewer Billing department and the Business License Department to notify
the WWTP superintendent of any new industrial listings.
