Subject: Annual Non-stormwater Discharge Evaluation and Certification
Dear Ms. Lucas:
As required by the Section A. (27)(1)(e) of Duke Energy Progress, LLC's NPDES permit NC0001422
[effective 10/1/2017] for the L.V. Sutton Energy Complex, Duke hereby submits this certification of
stormwater outfalls for the presence of non-stormwater discharges.
The following permitted stormwater outfalls have been evaluated by visual observation for the
presence of non-stormwater discharges:
• Internal SW-1: Stormwater drainage from parking lot/laydown area;
• Internal SW-2: Stormwater drainage from existing CT unit yard drainage;
• Internal SW-3: Stormwater drainage from parking lot;
• Internal SW-4: Stormwater drainage from switchyard area;
• Internal SW-6: Spillway overflow from stormwater infiltration basin.
By signature of this letter, /certify that the stormwater outfalls covered by this permit have been
evaluated by visual observation for the presence of non-stormwater discharges. All stormwater
outfalls exhibited"no discharge"at the time of observation.
