Attached is the semi-annual Stormwater Monitoring Report for the GE 1 GNF-A Facility in
Wilmington, NC for the first half of 2019. The sampling was performed during a measurable rain
event on 4/2/2019 and the data was received from the lab on 4/15/2019.
There were three minor spills this reporting period. None of the leaks involved hazardous
materials and one required a 24-hour notification do the DEMLR Regional Office Located in
Wilmington, NC. These leaks are summarized on the attached Appendix 1.

Appendix 1: 15t Half 2019 Leak Summary
During this stormwater reporting period, we've experienced three releases that are reportable
per the site permit NCS000022. These leaks were primarily small quantity oil spills.
Spill No. 1
On Friday, February 8, 2019 at -8:15, GE Security observed a tractor trailer across the street
from the main GE plant, near the GE owned ball field, had leaked --1 gal of oil. The leak which
was coming from the engine of a tractor trailer which had parked in the lot for - 4.5 hours. The
oil stained dirt was removed. The spill was not reported per the permit as it was <25 Gal and
cleaned up within 24 hours.
Spill No. 2
On Thursday, March 7 at --8:00 a.m., a small area on the asphalt -3'x2' in diameter, outside of
FGE facility had an oil -like sheen to it. The sheen was believed to be caused by a piece of .
discarded equipment containing residual oil that had been disposed into a scrap metal
dumpster. The spill was <25 Gal and was cleaned up immediately.
Spill No. 3
In summary, Duke Energy Progress, during inspection of site power lines and transformers, on
or around the week of April 81h, notified a GNF Electrician that a pole transformer was leaking.
After the transformer was replaced by Duke Energy Progress on April 291h, evidence of an oil
spill between 10 and 15 gallons, below the transformer area was communicated to GNF
Facilities Management and the Environment, Health and Safety group.
A 24-hour notification was made to Mr. Dan Sams at 2:39 p.m. on April 30th followed -up with a
5-day written notification. On May 111, the impacted soil was removed and will be transported
and disposed of in accordance with regulatory requirements.
