Analytical monitoring results were within benchmarks for outfall FV001.
Analytical monitoring results showed that COD was outside of the benchmark values for Outfall FV006. A Tier II
Response Inspection was conducted. Some solid materials and algae were found in the bottom of environmental pit
#1. Also, stagnant water is common in the environmental pit #1 multi -compartments that could be a factor in the
elevated COD results. There was evidence of dirt/rock build up and debris on concrete surfaces that drain to
Environmental pit #l. Storm water runoff directly into the back sampling compartment of Environmental Pit #1 with
stagnant water may have also contributed to elevated COD levels due to no water flow until rain event. Investigating
condition and possible action plan to minimize stagnant water conditions. Periodic pumping out Environmental Pit #1
water to sewer has been implemented to minimize stagnant water. Environmental pit was cleaned by contractor and
absorbent boom was installed in the sampling department.
