(Shield) was able to successfully collect a monthly stormwater sample for Stormwater Discharge Outfall (SDO) #001 and the semi-annual stormwater sample at SDO #002 and SDO #003 at the Daimler Trucks Gastonia facility during the month of January 2020. During the January 131h sampling event. Shield's measurements for pH were 6.48, 7.89 and 6.84, at SDO 9001, SDO -9002 and SDO 4003, respectively. Note that the analytical lab used two sample bottles from SDO 4001 to analyze for pesticides and, as a result, there was insufficient sample volume to run the semi -volatile organic carbons (SVOC's). There was a second sampling event at SDO 4001 on January 24°i in order to collect another sample for this parameter. There were 0.79 inches of rainfall on January 24". The laboratory will not be charging for the analyses of the January lYh and January 24h sampling events at SDO 9001. The Qualitative Monitoring Report and a partially completed Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) form are attached to this cover letter. In addition, the analytical results for the stormwater samples collected during the qualifying storm events are attached to this cover letter. Results from the January 13" and January 24`t' sampling events show no exceedances of benchmarks. Daimler's Gastonia facility remains in Tier Three of the NPDES General Permit No. NCG030000 at SDO #001 for Copper and pH. Shield will continue to perform monthly sampling at SDO #001 per Tier Two requirements until instructed to halt by Daimler. Shield greatly appreciates the opportunity to provide environmental services to Daimler Trucks, of North America. The sample receiving date is documented in the header information associated with each sample. All results listed in this report relate only to the samples that are contained within this report. Sample receipt, sample analysis, and data review have been performed in accordance with the most current approved NELAC standards, the Shealy Environmental Services, Inc. ("Shealy") Quality Assurance Management Plan (QAMP), standard operating procedures (SOPS), and Shealy policies. Any exceptions to the NELAC standards, the QAMP, SOPS or policies are qualified on the results page or discussed below. If you have any questions regarding this report please contact the Shealy Project Manager listed on the cover page. Semivolatile Organic Analysis - Method 625.1 Sample SD-001: the lab used both sample jars to run the PesUPCB's. As a result there was insufficient sample volume available to run the SVOC. Pesticide/PCB Analysis — Method 608.3 Sample -001; The sampte results associated with a P qualifier have a relative percent difference (RPD) between the two dissimilar phase GC columns which exceeds 40%, Section 7.10.4 of SW-846 method 80008 states the higher of the two results is reported. Per our standard operating procedure, the lower result is reported when a result has a P qualifier because the disparity between the two results would yield a biased high or false positive result. In the event that one column is a J qualified result and the other is an unqualified detection greater than the PQL, the lower result is also reported.
