Subject: RE: SW General Permit NCG020785 Brian, Per our conversation earlier today, they have Haywood Pittman conducting the wetland delineation. We'll accept his delineation with the anticipation that USACOI_ will not have a problem with his determination. I've asked consultant to move forward with recommending mw locations and monitoring schedules (once Haywood is done with his delineation). I did indicate they need corps approval, but we wouldn't hold up the show waiting on that. They are to send me an updated map once they have the wetland boundaries identified. They will be required to flag the wetlands and provide at least a 50' buffer (in accordance with DLR's requirements). I recommend issuing the permit to them with the 0 & M deficiencies acknowledged, but I would expect a date for which we can expect an updated map showing wetland boundaries and proposed monitoring well locations. Once I get an updated map from them, I'll discuss specifics for the 0 & M and we'll eliminate any deficiencies where that is concerned. Thanks Brian.
