NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL-EXPRESS REVIEW PROGRAM
Dear Dr. Smallwood:
On December 8, 2006, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your PCN application for the
above-referenced project. On December 19, 2006 this Office received a request to hold your Express 401
application. The Express review Program is designed to review permit applications within a 30-day
timeframe. The 30-day timeframe had lapsed so your permit application is being withdrawn from the
Express Review Program.
Should you choose to pursue the Gates County High School Gymnasium Project, you must reapply and
resubmit through the regular or Express 401/Wetlands Program with a new fee.
Please be aware that you have no authorization under Section 401 of the Clear Water Act for the proposed
activity and any work done within waters of the state would be a violation of North Carolina General
Statutes and Administrative Code.
Please reference the Division of Water Quality Express Number above on all correspondence. If you
