Project Cover Letter Townhomes on Iowa Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue The new 8" gravity sewer main to serve the Townhomes on Iowa Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue Project will connect to an existing Town of Southern Pines 8" Gravity Sewer Outfall located along Iowa Avenue about half way between Kensington Ave and the SE Service Road. The new 8" gravity sewer main will extend 55 If with 1 new 4' dia. manholes to serve the development. The Townhomes on Iowa Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue Project will serve approximately 8 single family townhomes @ 360 gpd/home for a total proposed flow of 2,880 gpd. Downstream Sewer Evaluation As shown with the attached calculations, the proposed gravity sewer inside the development and the existing gravity sewer outside the development have the capacity to serve the proposed development. Once the sewer reaches Southern Pines Pump Station #4, Moore County built a hydraulic model of the existing sewer system from the pump station all the way back to the Moore County WWTP. Prior to issuing the Flow Acceptance Letter, Moore County did their own evaluation of the capacity of their downstream sewer and found they had adequate capacity to handle the additional flow.
