SUBJECT: Johnston County 385 West Transmission Improvements, Johnston County

DATE: June 9, 2020

A North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) Fisheries Resource Specialist has
reviewed the Division of Water Resources application for proposed actions that may
impact fish and fish habitats. The proposed project, ID number 20200679, is located along
the right-of-way of Gordon and Powhatan Roads, as well as the east side of U.S. 70 Business,
Wilson’s Mills, within Johnston County. The body of water closest to the project location is
Little Poplar Creek, and the site is within the Neuse River Basin. DMF has no comment to
provide on the project, and is submitting this response to fulfill your permitting
