Mr. Webber,
Once you have reestablished the pre-existing conditions (grass lawn), please contact this Office to
arrange a follow inspection. My apologies for the oversight on the date on my initial inspection, it
was May 22, 2020. In the initial email sent to you, I had incorrectly referenced April 24, 2020 as the
inspection date.
Regards,
Anthony Scarbraugh

Mr. Scarbraugh, I will let you know when the previously existing condition is reestablished so we
won't be in violation of the Neuse River Riparian Buffer Rules issued on October 25th, 2015.

Mike Webber

Mr. Webber,
After review of the provided information, the Division of Water Resources will be unable to approve
the modification request until the previously existing condition (grass lawn) of the area in violation of
the Neuse River Riparian Buffer Rules has been reestablished. As previously stated, the impacted
area is in violation of the conditions of the 401 Water Quality and Neuse River Riparian Buffer
Authorization issued by this Office on October 25, 2015 under DWR Project No. 14-0097 V2. If you
have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Hey Anthony, our plan was to finish moving everything, send you some pictures and sow some grass
seed. The attached pictures show what we've done so far; we moved the boats last week. We've
gone beyond the required 50', but we still have to move the steel and we stuck the forklift today
moving the trailer.
I'm sure the Division of Water Resources has dealt with uncooperative individuals before, but I
assure you Bridgeton Boatworks will comply with your request. I worked with Brad on our first dock
in 2014 and Johnathon on our second dock in 2017 with no issues, everything went smoothly. I
respectively ask you to move forward with our CAMA Major Permit because, we're going to do
exactly as you ask, without discussion, simple as that.
The installation of the "proposed" staging dock will allow us to have more than one boat waiting to
be hauled or more than one launched waiting on the customer to arrive for delivery. However, more
importantly, it allows customers to board and disembark more safely. A few years ago, we had a lady
step off her boat on our other dock, hit her head on the travel lift and fell in the river, she left in an
ambulance. Ever since that day, we lay-up a boat to be hauled, allow the customer(s) to disembark
and then hand line the vessel into the haul out slip.
We will finish clearing this area and sow some grass this week. If you can't move forward on my
word at this time, hopefully we don't have to wait until the grass grows?
With that being said, I appreciate you time, assistance and understanding.
Regards,
Mike Webber
