On April 4th, 2020, The Town of Burnsville had a Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO). The cause of this was
due to the force main breaking at two spots on the line. This lasted 1,650 minutes and resulted in losing
65,000 gallons of raw sewage.
On April 15`h, 2020 The Town of Burnsville had a Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO). The cause of this was
due to the force main breaking in a different location on the line. This lasted 180 minutes and resulted in
losing 9,000 gallons of raw sewage.
On April 22nd, 2020 The Town of Burnsville had a Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO). The cause of this was
due to the patches that were made on April 4tn on of the bands busted loose on the line. This lasted 435
minutes and resulted in losing 6,000 gallons of raw sewage.
The OMC Pump Station was down and while the crews worked to repair the lines. We had pump trucks
hauling off the sewage to a manhole located by the McDonalds in Town. We lost a total of 80,000
gallons due these breaks.
The Town has repaired these breaks and are starting to plan for a replacement of the force main.
Sincerely,
Dillon Lundy
