Dear Mr. Pettyjohn:
On January 31, 2007, I visually inspected the construction work on US Highway 321 in Caldwell County and
the project appeared to be in good shape. It appears that the construction work is progressing mainly at both
ends and at a small section near the middle of the project. The erosion and sedimentation control structures,
vegetative covering, mulching and matting appear to be working properly. Please continue to ensure that all
sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and that seeding and mulching are performed as
needed to protect downstream waters. A copy of the inspection report is attached to this letter.
