Explain the purpose of the proposed project:* The CFPUA has identified the need to replace a section of the Crosstown Feeder water transmission main, a critical artery to the CFPUA water system. A portion of the 36-inch ductile iron water main crosses Burnt Mill Creek and periodically becomes exposed due to on -going bank erosion in the area. 41. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:* CFPUA plans to replace the pipe with a similar sized inside diameter pipe of fusible material (PVC or HDPE) that would be installed under the creek via horizontal directional drill. Bore pits will be located within uplands and no wetland or voters impacts will occur. The line will be installed within an existing CFPUA utility easement. Note that the applicant has applied for a CAMA General Permit since Burnt Mill Creek is a public trust water. Adjacent riparian landowners have been notified of the project through this application process. 4j. Please upload project drawings for the proposed project. C-1 rev 11 x 17.pdf 1.14MB 5.
