Please let me know if you need additional information. You've got a spec in the plans for a pump around, but it's not noted in the PCN. Will you be pumping around the entire project? Yes. The contractor will pump around active work areas per the detail provided in the plan set. There appears to be some nice existing vegetation on SR2. We'd like you to maintain as much of that as possible. Can you describe your strategy and its impact to existing vegetation for that reach? See attached .pdf with site photographs and descriptions. As you likely know, this is not too far from the Mills River and its important aquatic community. Can you stabilize disturbed areas at the end of each work day? We will instruct the contractor to have all disturbed streambanks "storm ready' by the end of the work day. What will your planted woody riparian buffer width be? 20-ft minimum in areas along SR 3 confined by existing horse fencing. 30-ft in all other areas. Just know that I'll be a broken record with many of these questions for projects you send along, so if you can provide this information in the PCN in the future, that would be great.
