I spoke to Charles Vanderford with the Pitt County Drainage District today concerning the diffuse flow through
their easement along the stream. He said that he would not accept the plan with overland flow through the 70'
easement. His phone number is 252.752.7070; please contact him regarding this matter.

Jamie, you must satisfy the local municipal stormwater regulations first, and then the DWQ
requirement for diffuse flow since you are in a buffered basin. To date, the earthen level spreaders are
still acceptable.

Mr. McMillan;
I'd like to thank you again for your patience with the design process at Brookstone Subdivision. I have a
couple additional questions:
1) Regarding Brookstone, since the impervious coverage is < 30% we are not required to provide a certain
percentage of nutrient removal only the 85% TSS removal is required. Therefore, I can remove the wet pond
design and provide an appropriately designed dry detention basin followed by an appropriately designed level
spreader.
2) Regarding level spreaders, are the new requirements accepted or do the old still apply.
Sincerely,
