Dear Mr. Davidson:
Concerning the above Notice of Violation GGCC Utility WWTP, we would like to
formally request foregoing a penalty assessment at this time. We do acknowledge the
high flow, but it was caused by excessive rainfall; the plant's conditions remained
favorable other than the one fecal being higher than permitted, and there were no sanitary
sewer overflows.
Regarding the fecal exceedance, there was one instance of a high fecal and we were able
to address the matter by replacing the UV bulbs and sleeves. For the month of March,
there have been no fecal samples exceeding the limit, so we feel that the action we took
to address the high fecal was effective.
