D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project.
Design of the culvert replacement includes use of coffer dams such that all work can be performed in the dry. Additionally, the
proposed design of the culvert replacement does not include the use of any live concrete in areas in which water is present.
1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.
Best management practices, and sedimentation and erosion control methods will be used during all construction activities. No
equipment refueling or maintenance activites will occur adjacent to jurisdictional areas. All temporary impacts to jurisdictional
areas during construction activitties will be returned to their original configuation and stabilized and/or seeded in a timely
manner.
