Subject: Camden Woods Phase II RAI
Hi Haywood,
Please accept this email as a request for additional information.
1. In our 9/25/19 meeting at the Corps office Mr. Pierce agreed to recombine certain lots as some appeared
too small for development. What has changed with the new proposal that you submitted the same map from
the previous request? The Corps is concerned there will be additional unaccounted for wetland impacts on
these properties.
2. The Corps needs new drawings for the bridge crossing. The drawing needs to show the Ordinary High Water
Mark for the stream, the bed and bank, and the wetland boundary.
3. What is the need for temporary bank stabilization in the stream? Please explain.
4. The impacts associated with the unauthorized road crossing in Phase I were to be accounted for under this
Phase II authorization. Please revise the PCN to include those impacts with the feature discussed.
5. Drawings should include a legend and temporary impacts need to be differentiated from permanent
impacts. New maps are required for all crossings. Please include an overall map showing the location of all
proposed impacts.
6. Are there any plans for expanding the development to the north in the property shown on the soils map.
7. Please provide a letter from Onslow County that they will allow for a development of this size without two
access roads for emergency access.
8. As there is an existing road and appears there are existing wetland crossings will those be improved with
the new road put in place?
As the application is considered incomplete for evaluation, no action will be taken on it until the requested
information has been received. We request you provide this information within 30 days of the date of this
letter. If no response is received by then, we will assume you have no further interest in obtaining a
Department of the Army permit and the application will be deactivated. Thank you for your cooperation with
the Corps Regulatory Program.
Thanks,
Rachel
