Inspection Summary:
Site inspection at the Metallix facility located at 251 Industrial Blvd in Greenville, NC.
This is a scrap metal recycle operation that received a No Exposure Certification 07/30/2004.
Although the NE certification still appears to be active, this inspection revealed that the operation does have outside
exposure issues. The company submitted an application for an Individual NPDES stormwater permit in April 2015. The draft
permit went to public notice 08/22/2019 and is pending final approval/issuance by the Divisions Cental Office. Upon
issuance of NPDES pemrit NCS000583, this NEC should be rescinded. See additional comments for NCS000583.
