I told Greg I would write a follow-up email. I rated the swale and have attached the DWQ rating form. I'm copying Andy on this, Andy, it's really a no-brainer. Tom, some items I will need as a follow-up to our meeting are: I need a copy of the approved SMP. I need plans that clearly show the new Zone 1 and Zone 2 of the Jordan buffer rules. Anywhere there will be new activities within either zone, I'll need a detail of the square feet of buffer impacts, (hatch them or shade them somehow to show them clearly). In Zone 1, identify areas that are currently woods that will become maintained grass. In each area, I'll need a discussion of why the impacts to the buffer are more protective than moving the impact out of the proposed area. In some areas this will be evident, in others it will take more discussion of the justification. If I can get this information by Jan 10, 1 will not need to write a formal letter requesting it. I'll need one copy sent to me, and one sent to the Central Office of DWQ. Be sure to reference DWQ # 09-1297 when you submit it. If there's any questions about what we did the other day, please call.
