Mize, P.E., Executive Director South Granville Water and Sewer Authority 415 Central Avenue Suite B Butner, NC 27509 Subject: South Granville Water and Sewer Authority Residential Flow Reduction Request Granville County Dear Mr. Mize: Dee Freeman Secretary On October 7th, 2011, the Pretreatment, Emergency Response and Collection Systems (PERCS) Unit received a flow reduction request for future residential connections to the South Granville Water and Sewer Authority (SGWASA) sewage collection system. This adjustment would apply to all of SGWASA's permitted but not yet tributary residential connections and all future residential connections tributary to the SGWASA collection system. Based upon the analysis submitted and a previous study conducted for the City of Creedmoor's collection system, the Division of Water Quality (Division) hereby approves an adjusted daily sewage design flow rate of 88 gallons per day per bedroom effective immediately, to be applied as follows: A) For existing permits with flow not yet tributary to the SGWASA collection system: 1) The Division will not reissue permits for previously permitted projects. If reissued permits are desired, a permit modification application with the appropriate fee must be submitted for each permit to be modified. B) For new sewer extension applications with proposed flows tributary to the SGWASA collection system: 1) The flow reduction is applicable to residential single family dwellings only 2) The minimum flow for I and 2 bedroom dwellings shall be 176 gallons per day 3) This flow reduction shall not apply for sewer extension applications and/or permits for any other public or private organizations whose wastewater flows are or might become tributary to the SGWASA collection system. 1617 Mail Service Center. The project includes infrastructure construction and 54 3-bdrm Single Family Residential Units. The homes will be served by 2,811 If of PVC and 3,547 If of DIP sewer mains. A flow reduction of 88 gpdr`bdrm is approved for SGWASA. The proposed sewer lines will be public mains with a proposed flow of 14,256 GPD for Phase 1. (54 units * 3 bdrmlunit * 88gpd/bdrm = 14.256 GPD) The sewer mains will connect to a proposed Pump Station on site. The Pump Station wet well is 15.5 feet deep and 5 foot diameter. It consists of two (2) 15HP, 460-V, 3-PH, 1760 rpm motors. An odor control system. SCADA. and a 80kW, 3-PH backup diesel generator will be installed. The Force Main will be 6" PVC and will flow 3,475 LF south through the property to an existing manhole in the south right of way of NC Highway 56. Please see enclosed Utility Plan. Project Schedule: Construction of Brame's Crossing is anticipated to begin in May of 2020. Infrastructure construction is estimated to be complete by October 2020.
