This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00-148. At your request, an evaluation was performed to determine if the features depicted on the USGS and the Nash County Soils Maps would require compliance with the Tar Pamlico River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0259 (NCAC 0259). As a result, it was determined that the feature delineated as a creek on the maps was not present on the ground as a stream and therefore not subject to the Tar Pamlico Buffer Rules. Thank you for your attention to this matter and if this Office can be of any assistance or if you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
