The facility appeared to be in compliance with the processing and monitoring requirements outlined in Permit No. WQ0031725. Please review the comments below. Approximately 160.39 dry tons of residuals were land applied to 9 of the 10 permitted land application sites. Annual monitoring is required for all parameters as outlined in Attachment A of the permit. Pathogen & Vector Attraction Reduction: Pathogen reduction was met using Alt. 1 (Fecal Coliform Density) and vector attraction reduction was met using Alt. 3 (30-day bench test). In future submittals, please include the laboratory bench sheets for the 30-day bench test to demonstrate the analytical conditions. Metals, Nutrients & Pollutant Monitoring: All required parameters appeared to meet permit requirements. Non-hazardous Waste Characterization: TCLP, ignitibility, corrosivity and reactivity data were within regulatory limits. Field Summary Forms: Please verify PAN rates for fields DP4, DP3 (Grass & Corn). The most recent NC RYE tables for the permitted soil series and recorded crop differ from those reported on the field summary form. Also, please ensure the designated soil series is included on the field summary form. Soils Report: Lime was applied to fields DP1C, DP5 and DP4 as recommended in the soils report. Continue to monitor the phosphorus index of the permitted fields. Phosphorus loading rates often exceed what can be utilized by the crop. Also, please continue to monitor copper and zinc levels.
